Residents in parts of Sydney's Northern Beaches are returning with caution after they were evacuated following life-threatening flooding. NSW SES spokesperson Andrew Edmunds said wet conditions also caused a landslide at Great Mackerel Beach. "We saw more than 258 millimetres of rain at Mackerel Beach in the Northern Beaches and this did result in a landslide ... which impacted on three properties there," he said. "Residents at that location at that location were able to be accommodated nearby."
