Today Miami-Dade Police Department's Officer Diana Castillo went above and beyond what anyone would expect a co-worker to do. Officer Castillo donated one of her kidneys to fellow officer, German Alech, who without the procedure would not survive. This unselfish act towards another human being is not a first for Officer Castillo. Six years ago she saved the life of one of our Sergeants.
