Exciting news! 🐦 An Eastern loggerhead shrike, one of Canada's most endangered songbirds, that was raised at the Zoo and released into the wild in 2021 has been spotted returning to breed this year! This young bird was part of a conservation breeding program run by Wildlife Preservation Canada that was raised by the Zoo and released into the wild last year in July. This male managed to survive through migration to his overwintering grounds in the United States and again through spring migration
