Back when a bear was spotted right next to the trail during the 2019 Leadville 100, while David Goggins was already deep into the race. In the middle of a 100-mile ultramarathon at high altitude, extreme fatigue, sleep deprivation, and brutal terrain weren’t enough — nature decided to add another obstacle.
