The New York State Police is investigating a snowmobile crash in the town of Russia in Herkimer County that left a 16-year-old dead.

SUMNER TOWNSHIP, Wis. (WKOW) — A woman suffered serious injuries after a snowmobile crash Sunday on Lake Koshkonong. The crash was reported around 11:20 a.m. near North Shore Road, according to the Fort Atkinson Fire Department.

The preliminary investigation showed Lyons was operating a snowmobile traveling southbound on a secondary trail when he lost control. The snowmobile left the trail and struck a tree, causing fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
