Archaeologists from the University of Warsaw in Poland have made an unusual discovery, after coming across five ancient puppets atop a massive pyramidal complex in El Salvador, dating back to 400 BC.

"Puppet Crimes" comes out of a 400-year-old tradition of hand puppetry which originated in the fairgrounds of Europe. Hand puppet heroes spoke out against the church, the monarchy, and the police.

The stories and artifacts that a culture produces reflect its values. Archaeologists recently announced the discovery of some interesting objects from El Salvador, stated Smithsonian Magazine.
