A powerful explosion followed by a large fire at a propane distribution facility in the RM of Tache triggered an intense emergency response Thursday afternoon, sending three people to hospital and keeping firefighters on scene for hours.

The Pine County Sheriff's Office confirms there has been an explosion in Willow River. They are asking the public to avoid the areas northwest of Willow River.
