The opening ceremony marked the official start of the 2026 Winter Olympics with celebrations at Milan's San Siro Stadium and at venues in Predazzo, Livigno and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

You don’t have to be an Italian legend to perform at Milano Cortina’s opening ceremony, you just have to be a legend who knows how to sing in Italian.

There will be two Olympic cauldrons for the first time at the 2026 Games, one located at the Arco della Pace in Milan, and the other at Piazza Dibona in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
